The Government has announced its intention to put into law the date and time when we leave the EU - when the UK will no longer be an EU Member State. This will be March 29th, 2019 at 11pm GMT.
Our local MP, Andrea Jenkyns, who was the Vote Leave regional MP coordinator for all of the Yorkshire constituencies, welcomed the news saying:
"As a passionate Brexit supporter and Vote Leave coordinator for Yorkshire, I think it is great that the Government is putting the day we leave the European Union in law.
This is an important step in our Brexit process that will respect the will of the British people by ensuring we take back control of our laws and restore sovereignty to our parliament."
